The Tollywood most anticipated film of the year 2012 is ‘Eega’. Teasers and theatrical trailers grabbed attention from all Indian film lovers. Eaga directed by Tollywood ace director SS Rajamouli. Nani, Samantha and Sudeep are in lead roles. The film made parallel in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in to Hindi from Tamil version and to Malayalam from Tamil version with high budget around Rs.26 Cores.
STORY:
Eega is an action fantasy about rebirth. Sudeep (Sudeep) is a multi-millionaire businessman who always likes to travel on the wrong routes which is simple and tricky. Big business deal and women are his weakness; he is one man who wants to achieve everything he has wished for and he goes to any extend, sometimes by killing his own wife and friend for business deals. He sets his eyes on Bindhu
(Samantha), a miniature sculpture artist and social worker.
Bindhu is secretly in love with Nani (Nani), who is mad about her. Like many women, Bindhu hides her love and pretends to ignore Nani. When Sudeep finds out Bindhu’s love for Nani, he goes mad and decides to finish him (Nani) off. Nani is murdered and Bindhu is heart-broken. He is then reborn as ‘Eega’ (housefly) who remembers the incidents that took place in his last birth. How will Eega takes his revenge on the villain forms the rest of the story.
TECHNICAL  PERFORMANCES:
A product like Eega is a first of its kind in Tollywood and the output can not be attributed to one person. Its a collective effort of Direction, VFX team, Editing team, Sound effects. Eega is the resultant of such wonderful teams worked together. The hardwork of the people in the picture and sound department is clearly visible. Senthil had rocked with superb cinematography. Keeravani is unarguably the best BGM composer in the current generation and he had lived up to the expectations. Senior Editor Kotagiri Venkateswar Rao did a good job.
Rajamouli is one director every producer is ready to give a blank cheque and wait for 20 years to make a movie with him. Rajamouli is a director every star hero would keep his current commitments aside for a movie with him. Such a director had change his path after delivering an industry hit. He did a comedy film with Sunil as the lead role and now he chose an insignificant fly as protagonist and made a convincing movie with it. Interestingly, he is able to generate the same amount of buzz as a star movie with it. He got every thing right from his part – the story, screenplay, taking, narration.
He extracted everything that is required from the cast and crew of the movie. It is not easy acting in a scene where you do not see the other actor, You will have to visualize the scene in your mind and to strike the imagination chord in every artist requires tremendous story telling talent
and perfect screenplay and exactly here, Finally, Eega is a very honest attempt by Rajamouli and team. Their hard work is seen in every frame of the movie. Truly a path breaking movie in Telugu cinema. This movie is first of its kind and the box office prediction is not so easy. We will have to wait for the audience reaction to know the box office result of the movie.
PERFORMANCES:
Nani’s role is limited to a run time of 20minutes. He came up with some good work. Samantha is cute and lovable. Sudeep steals the show with fantastic performance in the negative role. Other than the three characters there are very few notable characters. The visual effects have come out very well. The cinematography is good. Music is hum able. The background score is superb. Considering the special effects part the Direction is good. But overall the movie lacks a gripping and interesting narration. The production values are rich.
PLUS  POINTS:
1. Rajamouli Direction.
2. Eega has 90 minutes of visual amusement and never-seen-before animated effects.
3. Movie depends on Sudeep did a lifetime special role.  And Sudeep   performance is extraordinary.
4. Comedy and hilarious dialogues.
MINUS  POINTS:
The second half of the movie dips slightly when compared to the first half.  But it picks up again towards the climax.
The aghora element and his supernatural powers could have been used in a more sinister way.
ANALYSIS:
Firstly, the film has come up with a pathbreaking concept of introducing a housefly and a lot of work has gone behind the screen. The director must be appreciated for his belief in the subject and the confidence with which he brought it to the audience. While the first half takes off on a lighter note with few interesting sequences, the interval bang is good. The second half gets onto the conflict part and it ends in a good climax. Overall, this is a film which is rich in technical values and neat in content. At the box office, it will appeal to all genres of audience and is sure to score a big hit.
Final Word: Over all movie has been carried out very well. A  wonderful Screenplay and Direction can be seen. Graphical extravaganza!! Don’t miss it!!These kind of films don’t come very often.
